Book Reports is just that. Not a critical review, but just a summary of what the book says. Judge for yourself. I do have an opinion, but will keep it to myself (at least within the confines of the report) so as not to interfere with the summary. They are listed by the date the summary was written, newest first. The books themselves nor the choice of which books to summarize do not necessarily reflect the opinions of this website. They are provided for a learning experience. Click the date for the report.
9-30-21 RULES FOR RADICALS, A PRACTICAL PRIMER FOR REALISTIC RADICALS by Saul Alinsky.
Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals is a 1971 book by community activist and writer Saul D. Alinsky about how to successfully run a movement for change. It was the last book written by Alinsky, and it was published shortly before his death in 1972.[1]: 41 His goal was to create a guide for future community organizers, to use in uniting low-income communities, or “Have-Nots”, in order for them to gain by any means necessary social, political, legal, and economic power.[2] Inside of it, Alinsky compiled the lessons he had learned throughout his experiences of community organizing from 1939–1971 and targeted these lessons at the current, new generation of radicals.
